1 Quote. 1 Reflection. 1 Question.
"Not all those who wander are lost."

This week I moved to Valencia, Spain. Previously I had lived in South Korea for 2 and a half years. I used to think people traveled because they were lost and afraid to live in the real world.
This couldn't be further from the truth. The majority of people I have met living abroad may not know what they want to do, but they know what they don't want to do.
This is the secret sauce.
We live in a sea of endless hobbies and career paths. Knowing exactly what you want is difficult and takes a lot of time. Some of us may never get there and that's okay.
When you travel, you have an open mind towards people, work, food, transportation, and a bunch of other things.
Before I traveled I was pretty close-minded and thought I needed a 5 to 10-year plan with no cracks in it. As I have been living abroad, I have become more flexible, fluid, and ironically, more confident. I feel I can tackle problems more efficiently, withstand more stress, and have more patience than before.
So, I encourage you to travel more often when possible. It doesn't have to be an exotic country, it could be a small town a few hours away from your home. Our 20s are a perfect time to see what the world has to offer. We have fewer responsibilities, obligations, and bills than people in their 30s and 40s.
Traveling will be frustrating. You get on the wrong bus, order the wrong dish, and wish you didn't pack your entire closet. But, in the end, it's a part of the journey. Life is about the journey, not the destination.
Where is one place you have been dying to travel to?
