1 Quote. 1 Reflection. 1 Question.
1 Quote.
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

1 Reflection.
We want to quantify everything by numbers, x's and o's, reds and greens.
No one could blame us, it is the way we were taught and it is easier to focus on the things we can see rather than on the things we can't.
It is a paradox really, the things that matter the most in our lives are the things we can't see.
So, what this means is that we have to deliberately take the time and effort to think about the 'essentials" of life—health, relationships, confidence, love, compassion, purpose, belonging.
Once we think about these things internally we will start to notice them externally—in the people around us. Here we benefit two-fold because we are improving our lives while attracting like-minded people.
We have all heard the saying "You have to see the bigger picture." This phrase is ironic because it implies going beyond what's available and given, beyond the things you can see.
Our human biology reaffirms this as Andrew Huberman, neuroscientist and tenured associate professor in the Department of Neurobiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine explains:
Everything you see is a best guess and you don't see anything directly.
John Lennon may have been on to something when he wrote "Living is easy with eyes closed."
Close your eyes, and take stock of things you can't see.
1 Question.
Where do you need to direct more attention to?—family, health, spirituality, purpose.
