1 Quote. 1 Reflection. 1 Question.
1 Quote.
"We are always seeking for those things which are in the clouds, not for those that lie at our feet."

1 Reflection.
Henry Ford, best known for creating the Ford Motor Company, is one that gives us some food for thought today.
His quote reminds us that we humans are creatures who like to build stuff and buy stuff. Not only do we like to build stuff, but we also like making stuff better and better. Hence, up until 2022, there have been 34 different models of the iPhone released.
The difference between now and Henry Ford's time is that it is way easier to "upgrade" now. The issue nowadays is people want to upgrade everything:
Maybe you want to upgrade to the fridge with a cool screen that shows you what's inside so you don't have to open the door.
People find their sexual interactions with their partners dull so they upgrade to OnlyFans and porn.
People want to upgrade their children's sports abilities, so they send them off to tournaments every weekend.
Not all upgrades are bad, but I argue most of the ones we seek, force us to look up to the clouds instead of realizing what we have at our feet.
1 Question.
What is better for you, producing an improvement or consuming an upgrade?
